What You Can Expect When We Visit Your Home. We Are Open and Ready To Help

All of us at The Carpet Guys hope your family is healthy and safe. As we all do our best to remain vigilant, we have made adjustments to our business practices due to the current health crisis. We are adapting how we service our customers in light of the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) throughout our community.

As our Michigan economy begins to open back up, we are prepared and realize a few things that are very important to our future. First of all, things are not going back to normal - the way we used to consider normal. Life is different now. There is a new normal that we must adopt in order to protect our neighbors, our coworkers, our customers and the our families and other loved ones.

The Carpet Guys have made many changes to better help protect you, our customers and to help keep our staff healthy. We are limiting our staff in the office and have staggered our work hours to ensure maximum social distancing practices are being maintained at all times. We all have our temperatures taken if we are working in the office and many of our dedicated team are working from home to ensure we all stay safe.

We have updated our website so our customers have a better online shopping experience and can view room scenes and samples from home rather than going to a crowded box store or showroom.

We continue to offer Free In-Home Estimates

With a focus on safety, we are able to schedule your appointment in any way that makes you comfortable. Please schedule a time with us here and let us know whether you would like to have a representative provide a free estimate virtually or, we can provide you with an estimate at your home using CDC recommended safety protocols.

Installation, Service and In-Home Measure

At The Carpet Guys, safety has always been the top priority. We wanted to share some of the safety precautions we are taking so you can be prepared when our team works at your home:

In accordance with the governor’s orders and effective May 7, we are resuming installation, service and appointments with safety protocols in place.

As mentioned, we are pre screening each staff member at the beginning of each shift to ensure we are minimizing the risk of any potential exposure to help keep people safe.

Before We Arrive For Your In-Home Estimate

Our design consultants are taking extra precautionary measures to make sure their samples are kept clean and sanitized as well wearing face masks and gloves as well as practicing good hygiene while maintaining safe social distancing.

Once We Arrive On Installation Day

When our installation crews arrive, you can expect they have already been health screened that morning. You can expect our crews to be safe, clean and ready to install your new flooring using the plan worked out with you over the phone. Our protocols include:

We will wash and/or sanitize our hands as often as possible.
We will wear face masks and gloves while inside your home.
We will keep a safe social distance at all times, maintaining at least 6 feet of space from others.
We will clean up the work area before leaving and allowing the client back in the home.
You will see us clean and disinfect frequently used tools and we will avoid sharing tools whenever possible.
